Our History

The Social Revival Group of Urban Rural and Tribal (SROUT)

At SROUT, we are more than just an organization—we are a beacon of hope, dedicated to transforming lives and communities across Chhattisgarh, India. Driven by a passion for progress and a commitment to change, we stand at the forefront of promoting livelihoods, education, and health for the most vulnerable populations in both rural and urban areas.

Established in 1999 in the Korba district, SROUT emerged when CARE India entrusted us with the responsibility of implementing its Integrated Nutrition and Health Program. As we shared a vision for a brighter future for Korba, it became clear that a local champion was needed to make this vision a reality. Thus, SROUT was born, with an unwavering dedication to uplifting our community and catalyzing sustainable development.
