The Jal Jeevan Mission is a flagship program of the Indian government, driven by the understanding that access to safe drinking water is crucial for human health, dignity, and overall development. The program is designed to address the water scarcity and water quality challenges faced by rural communities in India, particularly those in marginalized and underserved areas. The primary concept of the mission is to create a water secure future for every household in rural India by providing a functional household tap connection (FHTC) to each rural household. This Project supported by PHEd Korba and Sakti District Administration. we are looking this project in 2 District Location. Key Objectives of Jal Jeevan Mission: -

Universal Coverage:- The primary objective of the Jal Jeevan Mission is to provide piped water supply to every rural household in India. This is aimed at reducing the dependence on traditional and unreliable water sources and ensuring equitable distribution of water.
Sustainability:- The mission emphasizes the use of local water resources and eco-friendly approaches for water supply, ensuring the long-term sustainability of water systems.
Water Quality:- Ensuring the supply of safe and potable drinking water to all households is a significant focus of the mission. It involves regular water quality testing and implementation of appropriate treatment measures to improve water quality.
Community Participation:- The mission encourages active participation and ownership of water supply schemes by local communities to ensure the maintenance and sustainability of the water infrastructure.
Convergence:- The Jal Jeevan Mission promotes convergence with other government programs to optimize resources and efficiently address water-related issues. It involves collaboration with various government departments, NGOs, and private organizations.
Capacity Building:- The mission emphasizes the capacity building of communities, Panchayati Raj Institutions (local governing bodies), and water supply personnel to manage and maintain water supply systems effectively
